About SimplerBook

How it started

SimplerBook was born over a lunch conversation. A couple of us — experienced developers who'd spent years building software — started talking about what we could create if we just focused on making something truly useful. No feature committees. No bloated roadmaps. Just a genuine desire to build software we'd be proud of.

One idea kept coming back: a simple booking platform. We'd seen how overpriced and overcomplicated the options were for small businesses. Enterprise tools with 200 features nobody uses, confusing pricing tiers, and setup processes that feel like configuring a space shuttle. A barber shouldn't need an enterprise license to let clients pick a time slot.

So we started building — evenings, weekends, fuelled by good coffee and a shared conviction that software should be simple, accessible, and genuinely useful. What began as two of us has grown into a small team united by the same belief: that the best tools are the ones that get out of your way and let people focus on the work that matters.

SimplerBook is our answer to the question we kept asking ourselves: what would scheduling software look like if it were built by people who actually cared about the end result?

What we believe

Simplicity first. No bloated feature sets. No 30-page setup wizard. Just the tools you actually need to take bookings, delivered in a clean interface you can learn in minutes.

Free forever. The core booking experience will always be free. No trial period, no credit card required. We believe every small business deserves a professional booking page.

Privacy matters. Your data and your customers' data belong to you. We don't sell personal information, we don't use ad trackers, and we never will.

Built with care. Every feature is designed for solopreneurs and micro-businesses — the barbers, tutors, trainers, and consultants who run their business with their own two hands. If a feature isn't genuinely useful, it doesn't ship.
